Who we are
Prismark Partners LLC is a market research and consulting firm serving the electronics industry, covering printed circuit boards, advanced packaging, semiconductors and related materials markets. We are based at 130 Main Street, Cold Spring Harbor, New York 11724, with an office in Taipei, Taiwan.
This notice explains what personal information we hold, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do about it. If you have any question about it, write to privacy@prismark.com.
Who this notice is about
We hold business contact information about people we deal with professionally — at client companies, at prospective clients, and at organizations across the electronics supply chain. We do not provide services to consumers, and we do not collect information about members of the public in a personal capacity.
What we collect, and where it comes from
We collect information in three ways:
-
You give it to us in person. Usually a business card exchanged at a conference, trade show or meeting.
-
You contact us. If you complete the enquiry form on this website, we collect your name, job title, company, business email address, telephone number, postal address and country, along with the topic of your enquiry and anything you write in the comments box. We also receive your details when you email or telephone us in the ordinary course of business.
-
You take part in our research. If we interview you or you complete one of our surveys, we record your name, employer and role, the date, and the substance of what was discussed.
The information itself is normally your name, job title, employer, business email address and business telephone number. For research participants we also hold the content of the discussion. For subscribers we hold a record of which reports and services your organization has purchased, and when.
We do not buy or license contact lists from anyone, and we do not collect contact details automatically from websites or social media.
Why we use it
-
To stay in touch with people working in the markets we cover.
-
To provide and administer report subscriptions and consulting engagements for the organizations that buy them.
-
To keep accurate records of our research, including where the information in our published reports came from, so that our findings can be verified.
-
To tell you about our research and publications.
Our legal basis
Where data protection law applies to what we do, we rely on our legitimate interests: maintaining professional relationships in a specialist industry where the same people and companies recur over many years, and keeping reliable records of the research we publish.
We consider this fair because the information is limited to professional contact details, given to us by people acting in a business capacity, and we do not use it for anything beyond that professional relationship. You can object at any time — see “Your choices” below.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
We use service providers who host our systems and act on our instructions — Microsoft, for email, files and collaboration; Salesforce, for contact records; and our website hosting provider. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies and website statistics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use third-party analytics services to follow visitors across the internet.
Our hosting provider produces basic visitor statistics from its own server records — the pages requested, the approximate location the request came from, and the browser used. We look at these only to understand general traffic patterns, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors.
“Do Not Track” signals
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal to websites. There is no agreed standard for how a website should respond to those signals, and this website does not respond to them. We do not track visitors across other websites, and we do not permit third parties to collect information about visitors through this site.
Where it is held
Our systems are located in the United States, so if you are elsewhere your information will be transferred there. Where we receive personal information from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and a transfer safeguard is required, we will enter into Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
-
Contacts at active clients and subscribers: for as long as the relationship continues, and six years afterwards.
-
Lapsed subscribers: six years from the end of the last subscription.
-
Prospective contacts with no engagement: reviewed after five years.
-
Research interview and survey records: six years from publication of the related report.
-
Historical records: we keep a minimal record — name, job title, employer and the dates involved — for longer, so that we can always show where the research we have published came from.
-
If you ask us not to contact you, we keep just enough detail to make sure that request is honoured permanently.
-
Your choices
You can ask us to:
-
tell you what we hold about you;
-
correct it, if it is wrong or out of date;
-
delete it;
-
stop sending you information about our research;
-
stop using it altogether.
Write to privacy@prismark.com. We will acknowledge your request and answer it within one month, and there is no charge. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
